At Haybridge SCITT, we offer the Midlands' only School Centred Initial undergraduate degree. This provides a direct route to becoming a qualified teacher without the need to attend a university.

Knowledge

KNOWLEDGE AND LITERACY MAKE CREATIVITY POSSIBLE

Our aim is to train our future teachers to help students develop the literacy skills on which all further learning depends and to provide a broad base of academic knowledge that students need to be properly creative. The knowledge we deliver is powerful in that is changes students’ perceptions, values and understanding. It encourages students to ask new questions and explore alternate explanations.

After 17 wonderful years at Haybridge, we’re bidding a fond farewell to Nick Raggett—whose passion for education has inspired both students and staff alike.

Following earlier teaching roles in Gloucestershire and East London, Nick joined Haybridge as Head of Expressive Arts, bringing creativity, energy, and dedication to every aspect of school life. His later move to the SCITT as a Lead Professional Mentor marked a new chapter—one in which he played a key role in shaping the next generation of educators.
